Professional Background

I'm a Senior Data Scientist at Meight with 12+ years of industry experience and 4+ years of PhD research, bridging the gap between processed telemetry data and actionable logistics decisions. My work focuses on tour optimization, data strategy, and building evaluation frameworks for the company's new AI agents.

Previously at Glovo, I specialized in logistics simulation and optimization. I led the architecture of a discrete event simulator serving 120,000+ couriers across 23 countries, and built optimization pipelines for matching algorithms that reduced delivery times network-wide.

I hold a PhD in Robotics from UPC Barcelona (IRI), where I researched algorithms for robots to find and track people in urban environments using POMCP (reinforcement learning) and particle filters. This work taught me to plan under uncertainty with noisy sensor data—the same core challenge in logistics optimization, autonomous systems, and mission planning.

Earlier in my career, I worked at Vestas in the wind energy sector, where I worked in the Performance & Diagnostics department performing statistical error analyses of wind turbines, developed KPI dashboards, and led the technical implementation of a production forecast validation test. I also developed an ERP system for fleet maintenance operations.

Industry Interests

I'm particularly drawn to opportunities in space, transportation, energy/wind, and high-tech industries—domains where data-driven optimization, planning under uncertainty, and system reliability create real-world impact. Whether it's autonomous systems or traditional operations, these industries benefit from the algorithms and approaches I work with.

Personal Life

Beyond work, I am a proud husband and father to a 5-year-old daughter and enjoy active time with my family. For myself, I love running (both road and trail) to explore new places and occasionally join amateur races for the atmosphere. I enjoy riding my motorcycle on the road and exploring the outdoors.

I am also a food enthusiast, enjoying the best of both my worlds: Catalan traditions (fideuà, calçotades, paella) and Dutch classics (snert, stamppot boerenkool, pannenkoeken).
